On what would have been Mel Parnell’s 100th birthday, I’m showing off his 1st career win ticket! Parnell’s 123 wins is still a Red Sox franchise record for left-handers (ahead of Jon Lester - 110) and 4th all-time for all Sox pitchers behind Roger Clemens, Cy Young and Tim Wakefield.

Hopefully I’m in the right place here. I was wondering if anyone has any insight on this sheet of tickets. Can’t seem to figure out what year these are fro
and the authenticity. 9ABAA9D9-82CD-4549-9E70-7FA70E4449B0.jpg B5F0F561-CF72-4417-A21B-95DE1D69C1CF.jpg |

The baseball logo, maybe 1976?
Nope, they used that from 60 - 75. Sorry.

Picked up a Righetti No-hit ticket. Plan to display it with my Yankees magazine with Righetti and several others walking off the field from that game...signed by several.

It was a great show. Mr Gallagher sold me an E95 Cobb at my fist show in 1973 for $4. Many of my favorite collecting memories are of those shows in NYC. |

Anyone here able to verify the date of this Senators ticket other than the writing on the back lol. I'm not sure what 44 means, but the 44th home game wouldn't have been Aug 22nd.

It's not possible to nail down anything based on the 44 on the front of the ticket. IMHO, 44 would refer to the 44th home game, but I may be wrong. One question about the date written on the back of the ticket: Is the writing in fountain pen, or is it in ball point pen? I can't tell by your photo. Please note that ball point pen was not a thing until around 1940. If the writing is in ballpoint pen, it's inconsistent with 1934. BTW, my good friend Dan Busby (RIP) published a couple of limited production books on ticket collecting entitled "Washington Senators 1868-1939" and Washington Senators 1940-2012", respectively. Unfortunately, there is not an example of a photo of a Grandstand ticket from the 1934 era to compare it to in the book. The ticket price is consistent with what a Grandstand ticket cost in the early 1940's (1941) based on an exemplar that he shows in the 2nd book. I hope you find this helpful. Sent my first tickets off to PSA to be graded. Perhaps I should have checked here first, as they didn't want to grade a number of these. I can only assume that they require knowing the exact date/game??
Here are a few I had hopes for:

For my Red Schoendienst player pc. Rochester Red Wings 1944 ticket. Unfortunately Red didn't play this day, (he didn't much in 1944 in general)
But still part of the roster so thats a win for me!

This was my ticket to what was one of the most impressive performances I ever saw by a hitter. I can still hear a sold out Kingdome crowd chanting in unison “Ed-Gaar-Ed-Gaar” Edgar was magic that entire series. He certainly delivered by belting 2 home runs and driving in 7 runs in Game 4 of the 1995 American League Division Series, becoming the first player in postseason history to record 7 RBI in a single game. Like Dave Niehaus said, “Get out the Rye Bread and mustard Grandma it’s Grand Salami Time.”

Some tickets are iconic, while some tickets tend to be ironic.
This one is the latter of the two. I am still searching for Frank Howards first HR ticket with the Rangers but this will will also do for now too. First season as the Rangers and Game #2 of their home stand with the Twins. Two old Senators teams going against each other. How many other MLB teams can say they have birthed, in some way, two teams from the original? Pete Broberg was the WP for the Rangers 5-1 over the Twins. Cheers,

1908 York Beach Maine Ticket/Pass.
York beach only existed for one 25 game partial season in the 1908 class D Maine State League. The back has some identification that I can't make out. Can't imagine too many of these are kicking around.

NY club tickets
New member here and it was suggested I post here in memorabilia. Inherited these from the Curtis line of my family. C.G. Curtis may have actually played as well. Hard to find much reliable info on the very very early clubs.

Not the most prestigious Expos franchise record.... on June 7th 1969 The Expos ran its losing streak to 20 games, three more than the former mark for a new team and just three short of the modern major league record. The 1969 Expos were not a good team but boy did we love them!!!

Morganna kisses George Brett
August 22nd, 1977 KC- Morganna "the Kissing Bandit" runs on the field to smooch George Brett for the first time. She would also get him at the 1979 All Star Game. I could not find a photo of this one but there are many from the ASG. Later that year George would visit a club where Morgana was dancing and go on stage to kiss her!

New pickups On May 3, 1980, Willie McCovey of the San Francisco Giants hits the final home run of his Hall of Fame career. McCovey hits his 521st home run against Scott Sanderson of the Montreal Expos, helping the Giants to a 3-2 win. His shot ties him with Ted Williams on the all-time list. McCovey will enter the Hall of Fame in 1986.
