Default Babe Ruth 1934-1936 Batter Up Card R-318 #144

Posted By: identify7

The above is the title of a current eBay auction. The seller acknowledges that the card which he offers says on it "Jimmy Foxx".

The facts that the Batter Up #144 is that of Foxx, and that there is no Babe Ruth in the set does not deter him. He continues to cite the card as one of Babe Ruth in the body of his description, while clearly picturing a Foxx card.

Certainly no bidder could possibly think that he is bidding on a Ruth card.

Unless it is that uncommon Foxx variation of the elusive, non-existent, not well known Babe Ruth Batter Up card.

Clearly Foxx. I have this card in a PSA Grade 7. can't imagine how anyone could think that is Ruth. This is not a variation. Just someone who is not sure what they own.
