Default Tuesday Trivia: Consecutive Games with a Stolen Base

What player holds the record for consecutive games with a stolen base, and how many games?

I know it’s wrong but Rickey would be my first guess.

Rickey was awfully close, but he is not the answer.

Note that game logs are not available before 1900, so I can't check Billy Hamilton, Arlie Latham or other player's stats for that time period. So the answer is post 1900 by default.

Great guess, but its not Brock.

Hint #1: He led the League in steals 6 times, and caught stealing 3 times.

Vince Coleman eight straight games in 1987. I checked his best year 1985 earlier today but not his other years, your hint gave it away.

Excellent guess. But its not Vince Coleman.

Hint #2: He won 3 World Series

My guess was going to be Minnie Minoso...but, I cheated and found that it was not him...also found who it actually is...but I'll leave that to those playing honestly...sorry...couldn't resist looking.

Another excellent guess!

Maury Wills did indeed win 3 World series and led his league in steals 6x. But he led his league in caught stealing 7x, not 3x.

Hint #3 (courtesy or Robbie Culpepper): He had a burst of power in one season, hitting 22 Home Runs. It was the only year he reached double digit Homers.

Correct!

Campaneris stole bases in 12 consecutive games from June 10th to June 21st in 1969. During that stretch, he had 15 steals and was caught just once.

While perhaps best known for something dubious, Campaneris had some impressive individual feats:
1) In his MLB debut, he homered twice, stole a base, and played fantastic defense.
2) He was the first player to play all nine positions (including pitching with both hands) in the same game.
3) He belted 3 triples in a game (the most ever in a game) on two separate occasions.
4) He stole 5 bases in a single game.
