Default Cleaning an autographed item

I have a signed baseball that on one side of the panel has dirt marks on it. Is it worth cleaning or leave alone?

If its worth cleaning, what is the best way? toothpaste?

Who's signature?

If I was absolutely sure that I wanted to try to remove the dirt mark, I would try a Magic Rub eraser. These are sold at all art supply stores and most likely Staples and Office Max. I have successfully used these on baseballs with great results in the past. These will not damage a ball if used sparingly.

Agree. White art eraser or a microfiber cloth will clean up light surface dirt. They will not remove stains embedded in the leather.

Is this a game used ball or a new ball with dirt on it.

I am not sure its game used or not. Its one one side of the panel and a little on the top. The rest of the ball is pretty clean.

Yea, it is. I am leaning towards leaving it alone as well.

I agree. Better off leaving it as is.
