Didn't realize the reality of our current political world would be so inflamatory. It is what it is.

Perhaps the moderator should just pull the post and follow ups.

Best to stay within the realm baseball card posts.

Sometimes there is a correlation between what is happening in the world economy, and how it affects the baseball card industry. Problem is these threads start with a reasonable discussion and end up with the left and the right calling each other every name they can think of. It always ends badly.

No worries, Al.

If an anti-Bush thread gets started, you'll have plenty of time to chime in. Those don't seem to get locked so quickly.

Think whatever you like Rob, but after Leon put forth the warning of no more politics about a month ago I try to end the political threads as soon as they begin or as soon as I see them. A thread that doesn't start off as political but turns political will not be locked, but an effort will be put forth to get the thread back on track.

So if you'd like to test it and start an anti-Bush thread go ahead and see how far it gets.

Rob, people in their 20s and 30s (as well as the rest of us) will be paying for your smartass post.

And will be for a long, long time.

Red Sox here June 26 - 27 - 28. I "might" have access to those tix we talked about last year. If interested and juris prudence will turn you loose, let me know. The seats are hard to beat, just 4-5 rows behind the Red Sox dugout on the 3rd base side, AND free. Might be able to score two tix so you can travel with a buddy, can't promise, but let me know if your schedule permits possibility.

You know how to find me.

Al,

If Jeff passes I will take you up on that--but first you would have to sell me the 1955 psa 8s I need(of course for SMR)--watch out for Jeff on the 55s--he may try to sweet talk you into selling him what he needs on the cheap. happy.gif

I have been out of town at a National Sales Conference, in Weston FL- near Boca Raton, for the last few days...be back on Sunday. I don't think we lock threads too quickly on almost any subject unless we have had a lot of OT recently or the subject matter is one of the few with 0 tolerance. I think we have a pretty good balance and my helper moderators make very good decisions, Thanks guys.....best regards

That's weird, Leon. I just got back from dinner in Weston. Let me know if you come back here. I live 5 miles away.

edited to add: It sounds like you are still in town. That correct?

I'm going to a movie with the wife tomorrow, but we might just make it a matinee. I'll call your room if I end up with a free evening. Then beer it is.
