A brief article about the 1914 Guy Zinn card is in one of the Jewish newspapers:

One of the members of this board has a CdV of Lipman Pike. I can only imagine what that would sell for in an auction.

Didn't a PSA9 '57 Koufax sell for an absolutely ridiculous price? Far more than the Zinn is worth, anyway.

The list left out Rod Carew, who converted. Even Adam Sandler mentions Carew in his Hannukah song.

Also, Chief Roseman and Stephen Behel were purportedly Jewish, but perhaps not.

I don't think Carew ever converted although he and his wifr raised their children as Jews.

He used to wear a Jewish star, and I heard on many occasions that he did convert.

Damn.. I thought Cobb and Honus Wagner were both Jewish. At least that's what I told my mother. She will only let me collect Jewish players.

I Remember recently reading that the present Red Sox had possible the most Jewish players at one time. I see Gabe Kapler listed and I believe Kevin Youkilis is also Jewish. I may be wrong but I thought I read this somewhere. CN

CN, that is correct. I think there are two more Jewish players on the Sox as well.

Last year, there were 13 Jewish players in the major leagues (tied for the most in a year). This year there may be as many, but there has been a lot of players traded, free agents, etc,...

Last year, the Red Sox had 4 Jewish players: Gabe Kapler, Kevin Youkilis, Adam Stern, and Craig Breslow.

This year they only have 2. Kapler retired to begin a managing career with the Red Sox single-A Greenville franchise and Stern was dealt to the Orioles.

I've had the pleasure of meeting you, and the enjoyment of your dry sense of humor.
I applaud your drive and determination in tracking down all the Jewish players that ever played the game.
You remind me of the Man from La Mancha.
A determined Don Quijote with a yarmulka.
Come Moisha, let's ride over the next hill and track down all those shoulda been Doctors & Lawyers.

Alan, I went to school down in the lower east side of Manhattan.
A school called Seward Park H. S. by Grand St - DeLancey St.
Before I attended that school, Sammy Kahn, Zero Mostel and Tony Curtis passed through the portals of that school.
During the late forties, you could find plenty of parking space, and most of it was used up by the push cart vendors, and abarganigan was the order of the day.

Alan, this you wont find anywhere else in the world.

The best Knishes anywhere.

Pickels, right out of the pickel barrel.

Halavah, vanilla chocolate marble, cut in the shop to your specifications. ... what a country.

The best stuff durma (kishka) ever.

Let me not go on. .. the thought of the food is driving me sane.

I was known by my Jewish friends:

As the only Puerto Rican/Cuban/New Yawka, with a Hebrew National taste.

On Sancho, my spear, I need a cornbeef and pastrami sandwich NOW!

Have Yarmulka, will travel.
