Default Question re Unusual 1959 Home Run Derby Card

I've wondered about this unusual 1959 Home Run Derby card of Harmon Killebrew (below, next to my real example) ever since I obtained it roughly 20 years ago. My Standard Catalog informs me that "an advertising poster is sometimes seen which is essentially an uncut sheet of the cards with a promotional message at bottom." Can anyone confirm my guess that this card was cut from a poster? And, does this narrative on the back (which looks like it was typewritten, but I don't think it was) appear on the backs of other cards cut from a poster? Can anyone show a similar card? Does this unusual card have any meaningful value?

Many thanks in advance for any helpful info,
Val

Default home run derby

hi val
they do come with that stamp on them...not from an uncut sheet though
yours is just trimmed around the borders...you could get them at amc dealerships with the stamp on them...at normal size

Hi Larry,
Thanks for this info. The card from the AMC dealer is rather gray-ish instead of bright white like my full-size card - do you know if this is normal, or is my grey-ish card merely soiled? And, the card stock of the gray-ish one seems to be slightly thicker.

Sorry, no Gunther PCs for sale. The only one I have is the Coan-Vernon. But, being as I live a VA suburb of DC and go yard/garage saleing most Saturdays, I hope to run across some sooner or later!
Val
