Default Calling Baseball and Ueucker Historians!

I am hoping this board can assist with a question I have struggled to find an answer to.

That question is: When was Bob Ueucker's first radio broadcasted game with the Milwaukee Brewers?

I know its 1971 and the only date I have seen has been 9/4 when it was "announced" so I don't know if it was that night game against the Angels or another.

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Fairly sure your 9/4/71 date is the best one out there.

He called games for the Braves during the 69-70 seasons and came to Milwaukee as a scout for Selig. He was moved to color after he sent in all of his scouting reports illegible and stuck to together with mashed potatoes and gravy. (Very Uecker, lol).

Here's his first appearance on Carson after getting that role (9/23/71)...it's a classic.

I loved watching him on Carson. Deadpan delivery just made it.

Thanks for sharing.

Lol, some of those photos did make their way out. I’ve had one on my want list for many years.
