Default Bill Goodwin

Bill is still around in the sports hobby. Just Goodwin & Co. was dissolved by Beckett after the merge.

Here's his new site:

www.go-heartland.com

Default Goodwin

Goodwin was one of my favorite auctions.
I see him sometimes at the Philly show.

He had a 3? yrs contract with Beckett I believe. After that he is on his own. I always like to chat with Bill and hope he makes a good comeback.

Not my cup of tea, honestly, but to each his own.

+1, I had probably my worst auction experience dealing with him. Multiple false statements and one broken promise after another.

Looks like all the auction history is gone. Would have been great to keep it active for reference. Plus the search engines always pointed people to beckett on many key word searches. I thought when Bill's 3 year contract expired they would find a replacement, do a name change and keep going on same platform.

Someone posted this article link on another site and when I googled Goodwin & Co, this thread popped up. If this is not cool to share the link, I can delete it.

I have had nothing but positive dealings with Bill over the past 15-20 years. Merry Christmas, Bill! Hope you and your family are well.

Default Good talks With Bill....

I am aware that there are differing opinions on Bill based on others experiences and observations but I have had only good conversations and dealings with him. Granted they were mostly conversations about $50 and $75 T205s a decade ago. But he was genial and took time to discuss them completely....and accurately. He did tell me that he lost $ on each sale of those lower valued cards. I loved them and completed my Sox and Cubs subsets in presentable condition. He even spent considerable time waiting in an airport helping me on his cell phone.
Per the rules...I think....Den*nis O*Brien
