Default N29 Ewing - Any thoughts on authenticity? - Follow up

Ive watched the N29s off and on, never held one in my hand, and am currently attempting the n28 10-card bb "set". Any thoughts on this ewing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120836307087

Never dealt with the seller and yes I saw his feedback plus hes the guy selling the "magic liquid". He's also selling a couple other n29s so are there any give aways on these cards that a newbie would miss? And the obviuos question of why it isnt graded...I know.

I sent him a couple questions and was hoping to get some feedback here. Happy New Year as well and be careful as drunk drivers suck...

It looks real, but it's raw and the seller's feedback isn't heartwarming, so you need to proceed with caution.

I have also been eyeballing this card too, not sure if I am going to bid yet, but it looks real to me. Then again I have bought from sellers that did not send me exactly what was pictured.

The card in the images looks genuine-- me just looking at the small images. It doesn't resemble a reprint and most reprints of the issue on eBay are obvious.

The N28s and N29s are basically twins. If you can id a real (or reprint) N28 you and id a real (or reprint) N29.

The N29 looks real. I wonder if he cleaned it like the '54 Aaron? PSA and SGC will not assign numerical grades to cards they believed have been bleached.

Seeing his other cards for auction, one has to wonder. If you bid not expecting it to grade higher than Authentic, you won't be disappointed about the grade.

These cards seem like great candidates for bleaching...or his liquid magic bullsh!t. He has yet to reply.

Default temptation

Steve,
I cannot be sure if the card is real or not, even if it is, I'm not sure that I would buy from an unknown dealer with a poor feedback (he's only sold 5 cards) selling bleach.

I wish it were not this way, but very rare raw cards are just so suspicious anymore.

Its way too fishy that he's mostly selling the cleaning magic, and not the Foxx, Mantle, Wagner, Ruth etc cards...but then bam!
A N29 Ewing

And if you ended up with this card, you'd better decide fast whether or not you want to keep it...3 day return policy!

Happy New Year!

I am extremely of the fence I very well may pass on it, if I was to bid I would only bid for "AUTH" condition bidding.

Zach: I did ask him if he used the "magic solution: on this card as well as the other n29's. I think Im going to pass...I have my eyes set on a pretty big prize down the road. But ill let the board know his response...if there is one.

Default He answered

He wrote me back, I sent 2 emails. He responsed as follows:

"Hi Steve , Yes is is 100 % original , it came in a large lot from an east coast dealer , I just contacted them and was informed that several others from the original batch were submitted some came back graded others altered , and a few trimmed so I will need to come up with a very reasonable price and sell him " as is " with this new knowledge Thank You For Your interest Professor D"

-and-

"Hi Steve ,No actually these cards were this nice to begin with , the N29's came in a large grouping along with other 1888 and 1887 issues ,several graded some came back trimmed so I am selling these raw , these three have not been submitted so I am not sure if they will grade but they are genuine not reprints . I am willing to sell them at super fair prices and placed a very modest reserves there fore . They would be any collectors dream considering their eye appeal . Thank You For Your Interest Professor D PS ALLTHE STAINED CARDS GRADED 8 or 9 with EITHER PSA OR SCG"

He sounds genuine...it never costs anything not to bid though.

I wonder what happened today, the listing ended over a whole day before auction end. His other N29s are gone too. I wonder if someone made an offer, or maybe he got red flagged
