Scotty:

I could use some of your good luck! The Sunday before last I was one card away (6 of clubs or A of clubs) from a $14,000 hand of "Let it Ride".

I was dealt a 2, 3 and 4 of clubs. Dealer shows a 5 of clubs with their first card. Needless to say, I'm not taking any of my piles back. Both ends of a straight open (5-1), a possible flush (8-1) and straight flush (200-1!) I have dreams of owning Leon's FBH Kelly! After what felt like an eternity, the dealer shows their last card - a 7 of SPADES!

Doh!!

So what do I do next? I return to the same place two times last week and got rocked. Roulette, Blackjack and Craps - I had no luck. In fact, my luck was SO bad that I almost felt like splitting face cards in BJ because the dealer almost always found a way to get 21 after hitting like 4 times while I was sitting at 20.

I sure hope you cleaned up with several parlay's. 2.6x is good stuff.

Julie, I only hated them temporarily (for costing me five teasers)! Truth is, and I hate to admit this, they have been my favorite NFL team since I started watching football at 4 years old!

pay 80% for 4/5 on a flush--right? Seems like the only fair thing cause its ALWAYS that last card when you have all 3 bets up.

I cannot trust my eyes. I'll remember something with a certain appearance, quite clerarly, and I'll be wrong.

..Like the plastic, yellow skull-steal-your-face pin a friend gave my son for his 15th birthday, and I remembered as a round, pewter, enamelled "steal your face" skull. Answr: my son had the plastic; my stepbrother, who was road manager for the greatful dead, had two of the pewter ones....alas, he never offered me one, in spite of numerous gentle hints.

So I can't remember what I see; I don't make any more bets.
