Default Rose Postcard Available

Posted By: Brian C.

Available for sale or trade is this terrific 1908 Rose postcard of Case Patten. This postcard is a significant one for dating the release of this issue because Patten's last major league appearance was June 18, 1908.

Baseball-Reference mentions this about him: "Case Patten was dragged into a strange murder case in Kansas City in 1903 involving the literal shotgun wedding of Lulu Prince and Phillip Kennedy. Eventually Lulu shot and killed Phillip and was convicted of his murder. The Missouri Supreme Court overturned the conviction, in part because evidence that Lulu had consorted with a professional baseball player (Patten) 'besmirched' her character in the eyes of the jury."

Trade offers or cash offers -- bear in mind that mid-grade Rose postcards recently sold at auction for $1,200 and up -- are welcome.
