Here is a link to some high end storage systems. There was a previous thread that went in to more detail, everyone seemed happy with. I plan on buying some of there stuff at the Nationals this summer. I met them at the last Nat in Chicago an the were friendly and cordial.

Frames designed for graded cards - very nice looking IMO (though I havent bought one - I like the MJ Roop binders).

what do people use to display cards in their own houses? I am sure the high-priced cards may end up in the vault, but do you usually display the cards for others to see? what is most attractive, a large case of 30 or smaller ones around the house? would love to hear examples of how people display their cards.

Id like to find a rigid looseleaf raw card display page which I can custom configure for any number of cards.

If it didn't seem to be going backwards, Id glue them into a scrapbook - after putting them in top loaders first. That way I can add text, graphics or whatever I deem fits the display.

One good way you might display your rare, valuable cards is to go to Kinko's and for $1.00 make a color copy. I will bet that from 5 feet no one can tell my E221 Bishops is a laser color copy. All of my valuable cards are in a safe and lot's of neat looking cheaper ones are in display cases built into the wall....later (I had the privilege of building a house AFTER I was addicted)

Leon -

How about a picture - I for one would like to see your display cases (particularly since I may end up building a new house soon).

You guys will probably consider it sacrilege, but I just display mine in simple toploaders on those small clear plastic easels you can pick up at baseball card stores.

Obviously not the best way to protect or preserve your cards, but I'm more interested in an aesthetic display. (It also helps to shy away from high-grade cards. The '34 Gehrig was cracked out of a PSA 4. The gray Mikan is miscut and the '57 Topps Russell is probably no better than VG-EX.)

Like so:

Aaron,

Thats a beautiful display case you have for your memorabilia and cards. Is that type of item easy to find, or was it custom made? I have been looking for something like that for a while with no luck...

Chris:

These are vintage (c. 1900 - 1920) stackable barrister bookcases from Gunn. I got the smaller one on the right from a furniture store here in Los Angeles, then after some searching found the matching taller one on E-Bay and had it re-finished to match color. You can find these pretty readily on E-Bay, although Globe-Wernicke seems to be much more popular and plentiful.

You can get these at craft stores (Michaels, if you have those), and they have hooks on the back for wall-hanging. It's also nice that you can switch cards in and out easily if you get bored:
