Default New Member - Hello!

Hey everyone!

New member here! I'm a crossover from BO. I got back into the hobby in 2018 and have slowly gained an affection for vintage over modern day cards. I just love the history and artwork compared to today's cards.

I am thinking about buying some Hank Aaron and Mickey Mantle cards so I will be on the lookout for those. For some reason the 1955 Bowman set really caught my eye! As a Royals fan I already have the go-to rookie 1975 Topps George Brett in a PSA 8 so I'm excited to venture out to other players.

Max

Max,

Welcome to the site. There is a wealth of information here. I put together the 1955 Bowman set as it caught my eye a few years ago also.

Have fun and enjoy the site.

Jim

Welcome aboard, Max. Although I am mostly a pre-War collector these years, I, too, really like the 1955 Bowman set. However, I believe you'll find that this set is one of the least popular sets of the 1950's with other Net54 members.

Welcome! This forums is a wealth of information with many experienced collectors ready to help point you in the right direction! The 1955 Bowman set is pretty unique. The Mantle from that year is affordable as well!

Default Mays

I purchased the 1955 Bowman Willie Mays nearly 26 years ago and it still has a prominent place in my HOF collection.
Enjoy the Net54 experience... it is great and Leon does an admirable job managing the site!

Default Welcome

Welcome to the fray, Max. Good luck in your pursuits.

Don't have any '55 Bowman as I mainly do pre-wwII. But this is a favorite of that era...
