Default Looking to start a T-Type Collection

Posted By: OhioCollectibles

I am looking to start a T-Type card collection. I want to pick up one example of each T-Type card in raw form. Any suggestions on the best way to go about this. I've never collected anything pre-1951 before so this is all new to me. Any suggestions as to where and how to go about it. I am on a limited budget so This will be a year long project to pick up one every other month.

Here's what I know I will be looking to pick up

T-201 Mecca Double Folder
T-202 Hassan Triple Folder
T-203 Mayo Baseball Comic's
T-204 Ramley
T-205 Gold
T-206

Are there any other tobacco issues I should consider?

Thanks for the help,
Bill Williams

you can pretty easily pick those up on ebay...or most on the BST if you're a little patient...or one stop shopping on Leon's website...maybe he'll cut you a deal...and you'll be asured they're real!

You may as well get a t207 while you're at it...after that the types can get pricy and tougher!

probably wont find t208 and if you do you wont like the price.

othes to collect and have a reasonable tag are t210 old mill-t211 Red Sun will cost ya. T212, T213 and T216 can be had also and maybe even t215 but T214 and T217 will be tough.

t210,t212,t213,easy and reasonable

t215,t216 not too hard and a little more cash

t214, t217 tough and a heavy tag

t208 very tough and much coin-if you find one buy it you may not find another

missed t207 but Pete covered it

might want to change your login Ohio doesn't have a good rep aroung here-nothing againt you though.

I am not familiar with Leon's site. Thanks for the T-207 suggestion, I had forgotten them.

By BTS I would assume you mean the Buy/Sell/Trade forum.

Peter was giving me a friendly plug above. I am a fairly well known type card collector and run this friendly forum, with the help of a few others. I am mainly a collector but dabble in the auction business and personal sales. I have been somewhat addicted to what you are about to do, for the last 12-13 yrs. As has been told some of the T cards will be tough and others not so tough. You have found a good place for information. Here is my website and if you look at my personal collection you will see at least one of each card you are after. I think I am complete on T cards .....best regards

It would be interesting to know if there's a player that appears in all the sets, or who appears in the most set, and try for that.

He's one less T-201 now. Picked this up from him to start the collection.

Oops. Apparently only hit preview before instead of respond. Congrats on the first T card.
