Default Does this t206 look legit to you ??

I'm not sure if this against the rules to post a current auction but I've been contemplating buying this.

There's something that seems quite off about it though and I haven't it looks a little too "purposely aged" to me.

Thoughts ????????

Josh, looks fine to me, and yes, normally not the best etiquette to out an auction. I've done it, and don't anymore. Given the card, though, which isn't anything out of the ordinary, I doubt anyone will particularly care.

I think it's fine too. Remember that Polar Bear was a loose leaf tobacco product and you run into cards that have product satins with that back quite a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the issue.

LOL Todd I just started a thread on Polar Bears like an hour ago. Idk there's just something that looked off to me.

But I'm feeling a little more comfortable now.

It look legit to me as well. It is heavily stained, but that's not unusual with Polar Bears.

It's pretty cool actually. I've never seen a Polar Bear that heavily stained with tobacco before.

I don't think it makes sense to go to the hassle of creating a counterfeit card and only do it for a 34 dollar card. I'm sure it's legit. Better question is why pay up for this.

It's a fairly tough variation. It's not crazy priced at $34, IMO.

It's fine, it just looks odd since they've got the brightness cranked up on the scan.

That was my reaction as it is a "toughie" Kleinow Boston. Am I wrong about how tough this card is ?

Kleinow can be a little tougher to find with a Polar Bear back.

I had this card on my "Hit List" at last year's National. Hadn't seen a single example until Saturday afternoon. Happened by a dealer's table and he had three raw examples, all with Polar Bear backs. Ironically the dealer informed me that someone had just walked in with them and sold them to him.

I ended up buying the best looking of the three. When situations like that happen, I just can't walk away empty handed.

That being said then does anyone have a Kleinow Boston graded that they'd sell for NON eBay sky-rocket pricing ???
