Default Whats up with these? T202 end panel

Posted By: Keith

I am a novice tobacco collector, but what is up with the below auction. They appear to all be T205's, but only 1 has a gold border, and the others are all smaller in size

The smaller white-bordered cards appear to be T202 end-panels.

Do they have any value once they are ripped from their trifold?

The T202 pieces have some but minor value. I've seen a Cobb or Mathewson sell for $50-- and those are obviously the cream of the crop piece-wise.

Creaseless Cobb's have been selling for over $100 lately. Used to be, you could pick them up for $25 or less. Seem there is nothing vintage, no matter the condition, that doesn't command huge money if it pictures a top flight HOFer.

A "Smokey" Joe Wood end panel went for over $100 recently as well. They are nice "pieces" if you want to pick up players for a fraction of the cost of an entire T202 or a T205.

Or you could have bought a nice T202 SGC 10 Cobb for alittle over $200:

I am a believer that Cobb stuff are still relative bargains in the market. I missed the boat on this Cobb.

The end panels seem to always sell not sure if the buyers know exactly what they are or just looking for a cheap way to collect a set.
