Default Show at the Garden State Exhibit Center(NJ)

Is anyone going to this show next weekend in Somerset, NJ? I can't tell by the website if it is worth it to go. Beckett says it's a 200 table show, but all the show's website info talks about is the amount of football players signing autographs there. It's not too far from me, so I was thinking of going, but I'd pass if it's mostly autographs, newer stuff and football.

Here's the site

For many years now, that show is primarily autographs and newer cards. Back in the 1990's it was a great show but, of course, lots of things have changed since then..........

I only live about 10 minutes away and went to one of the shows there about a year ago and it was a complete waste of my time. It seemed like there were only about 4 or 5 card dealers. Most of the show was focused on autograph supplies (mini-helmets, display cases, etc), framed prints, or stuff like that. I think I was there for 15 minutes or so. It very well could have been 200 tables, but only because each booth had 5 or 10 tables. Honestly, if your looking for a local show I'd rather hit Holmdel, Woodbridge, Raritan, or even one of the few mall shows. With those shows atleast won't be out the price of admission if you don't find anything.

Thanks for the responses guys. Definitely not going now. A couple other people also told me they didn't think it was worth going to, so five out of five vintage collectors agree. You can't even get that % of agreement from dentists.

There's a show in Edison at the Expo Center in June. I got a flyer for it at the last Philly show, and it looks promising. 200 dealers as per the ad. Rich Altman is running it.

I stared at this for a few minutes thinking I was missing something.

Admission Prices

Friday - Free
Saturday - $10
Sunday - $10

Or you can buy a weekend pass for $25.

Math is fun.

No -- and the only reason I went to the last GTSM show was because I was able to take the train to the show. Yes the Friday admission is free and the weekend is a rip.
