Default Large Clear Cases

I have my near-complete 1972 topps raw set housed in clear hard plastic (acrylic?) case. I've had it for years and have no idea where it came from.

I'd like to put my 1973 topps raw set in a similar container. I can't seem to find any that will hold more than 400 cards.

Anyone know where I can get such a storage box?

Thanks,

Tony

Do you have a photo of the case that you have?
Thanks-Clayton

Hi Clayton,

I don't have a photo, but the case is exactly big enough to hold my 771 1972 topps cards. I'm hoping I can squeeze in the remaining 16 cards when I get them! It looks like it was made for standard cards. The dimensions are (rough guess) 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 x 13 or 14 inches. It is two pieces. The top slides into grooves. There are two webs along the length to reinforce the sides, so the box is really divided into three sections.

Very similar to the two piece acrylic boxes that are standard now days. Biggest box I've seen to buy holds 400 cards.

Sounds like a nice case Tony, but I'm sorry to say,I wouldn't know where to get one. From the sounds of it,I would think it wouldn't be to hard to custom make one,if you had the tools & supplies. If you find one, please post with the info.Does the one you have right now have any type of manufacturing brand or label on it?
Thanks,Clayton

I just received 5 cards I needed from the 72 set so I took a picture of the case when I got it out to insert my new cards.

On the bottom is printed:

"ez-vue no.800"
"mfg by Friedman Marketing corp. Covina, CA 91722 patent pending"

I googled it a while back but didn't find anything.

Don't expect to find the exact same thing, just wanted something similar for my 73 set and a couple of other sets with more than 400 cards!

Not exactly what you're looking for, but similar. If there's a Container Store near you, take a look.
