Goody wasn't encapsulated by SGC due to a lack of data.

Any information about Goody or ACC data would be great!

Thank you!

P.S. Leon, if you feel this post is off topic, since Goody is likely not a baseball player (lol...just look at the guy), please delete...it's cool!

As a valued member that participates frequently on the board you are entitled to a few off topics. Some folks disagree with my philosophy but it hasn't changed. Folks that participate get more leeway than those that just come here to spew venom or bitch.....good luck with this one. regards

The new Old Judge book that will be out shortly has a chapter on non-baseball OJ's. Hopefully that will shed some light.

David

There is a card I have seen graded by SGC with this same Old Judge style. The card was of Neil Matterson. SGC designated the card a N174. My guess this Old Judge card is a Australian issue.

Barry--you must have been drinking heavily the night you proofed the book; there is no chapter on non-baseball Old Judge cards

Matterson was classified as an N174 because he was mistakenly thought to be a boxer.

This card is, I believe, an Australian issue

Jay- drunk or not, I do recall photographs of jockeys and actresses, isn't that correct? That would be non-baseball. If it wasn't a full chapter, well that I just forgot.

Barry, I'm pretty sure Coody wasn't an actress.

It's actually Goody. Maybe this is the guy behind the Goudey set!

Neil Matterson was a professional sculler (oarsman) and was from Australia. Not sure about Goody though.

The non-BB OJs are kind of fun. I've picked up a few here and there. I only pick up the OJs of people that can be researched. I'll bet that there is some information on Goody but you'll have to dig deep to find it.

Good luck!

Barry--There is a picture of an actress and an actor in the appendix dealing with the Short Number Series. There is no image of a jockey.
