I haven't worked my way through the whole issue yet, but I read this article last night and really enjoyed it.

It was great to see the adpieces/checklists that go along with the set.

I guess it must be possible that stacks of several player's cabinets who were not as popular remained at Sporting Life for one lucky employee to take home. Or, perhaps they just trashed them after a year or so of sitting around?

Another great magazine put out by our good friends at Oldcardboard.com ...If you are lurking, are just getting into pre-war, or an advanced collector, you really should invest the $25 or so dollars for a subscription. I've already read the whole thing. Of course I really liked the article about the Dietsche postcards, and even more so the inset about the Diesche shop and tours. I think my mom (originally a Detroiter) would be too young to remember, but I will show it to her anyway. If my grandparents (Detroiters born 1895) were still alive they would remember for sure. Unfortunately, I got into collecting vintage Detroit bb cards after both had already passed. What a missed opportunity that was.

Loved the article though, and may start trying to accmulate a few more of the PC's to add to the 3 I have now.

That Mastro has a bunch of PSA graded W600s in their next auction. Most of them are graded 8 NM/MT

Received issue no. 8 today, along with all the back issues ... plenty of good train reading for the next couple of weeks.

How many of them have different poses than the smaller m116's? I noticed the Matty has a different pose. Are most of them the same?

what are the odds of ever finding a w600 Ed Cicotte? ...and what would be an approximate cost?
