Default S.F. Hess Questions

Posted By: Scot York

I purchased this S.F. Hess cigarette card (WM O'Connor) as a boxing card. He appears to have a short sleeve shirt on though. His shirt has an X with a symbol in the middle that I can't make out. There's a large trophy next to him as well. My questions are, does anybody recognize this player or card and what type of sport is it.

I found this oarsman card (O'Connor) that Mike Wheat has for sale and it sure looks like him. Thanks for your help.
