Default On this day in 1926...(aka. show your Johnsons)

...the Big Train (then 38 years old) won a 1-0 Opening Day victory over the Philadelphia A's, striking out 12 batters over 15 innings.

Show off your cards of Walter!

Tony,
That portrait is super sharp. I love cards that present better than the grade, paper loss or not. Here is my WaJo that I think shows better than a 4. BTW, on a different thread there is a reference to WaJo and then someone corrected it to WoJo. I would think WaJo would be correct (Wa)lter (Jo)hnson, any opinions?

Great cards everyone, love the old cars in the Oklahoma card Joe.

Matt - That has to be pretty neat to have a card from Walter's personal collection.

^^^Sweet cards, all!^^^

Here's a couple. The 2nd one isn't prewar, obviously, but it's fairly
tough to find, and is one of 2 "EX-MT" copies graded between PSA
and SGC.
