Default OT - Getting into the hobby at a really young age

Thought that I would post this pic of my nine month old son, Alexander, going through his first 5,000 count box of sports cards. Of course, he would rather put them in his mouth than secure them in penny sleeves but you have to start somewhere, right...........

Awesome, Phil! My Alexander (goes by Xander) turns 2 next month, and I've tried keeping the cards away from him as much as possible, since he won't know a T206 from an '88 Donruss at this point (and I need some time to separate junk cards that he can play with, from things he shouldn't touch right now!).

But he loves baseball and has been to five Red Sox games already, including yesterday when this picture was taken. I will get him turned onto baseball cards in the near future though!

My son Ryan was always interested in my baseball cards as well. We used packs of cards and got him his own album when we started potty training. He hasn't had an accident in weeks.

Here's my son Otis learning the benefits of arriving early for batting practice. The ball was given to him in late 2012 by Cubs prospect Brett Jackson.

He's discovered NASCAR this spring, so he's always holding races with his NASCAR trading cards in addition to "playing baseball cards" with the 80s & 90s cards I've bought for him to enjoy.

Great thread. If we are extending this to games . . . our twins loved their first (before and during their nap) last summer and I'm anxious to get them back.
