Default T206 Tris Speaker Variations

I know there are issues with red ink on Speaker's card, but is anyone familiar with differences in font size on "Boston" and the colored band on his cap? I swear his eye is slightly different on the right. Left has Sweet Caporal back, right Piedmont

Looks like extra red ink on the right. Many of the cards with red ink have some with a ton of ink, and some with less.

when they printed red, it had several passes, including a "buff" layer of pink/peach. so the first image, you are seeing the final red pass struck lower than the other passes, and the BOSTON is lower as well on his jersey. and as mentioned above, some cards/sheets got more ink then others, probably when they refilled the ink (or whatever the terminology from 1909 would've been).
