Default Thank You Vets

Prior to the Bruins/Leafs game last nite, Toronto had a beautiful ceremony honoring 5 of it`s World War II vets. Wanted to make sure to do the same here on the "54" and thank all our past and present Vets, as well as their family members, for their service. Because of your dedication we at home can live the lives and pursue the dreams we do.

Default Thank You

My Wife and I went to the USO Benefit concert for the Vets about a week ago at the Mohegan Sun in CT.
The round of Applause the Vietnam Vets received was unbelievable.

Thank you Vets, past & present.

I have eternal gratitude for those who have served to defend the freedoms of this great nation. No amount of "thanks" will ever be enough, but it's the very least we all can do.

God Bless You, Yours, and America!

Edit: Pictured here is my grandpa whom passed away a couple years ago. He was a WWII Navy veteran (the team photo is a Naval team he played on). He played on the 1940 Findlay Oilers (St. Louis Browns farm system) as seen here. He was a south paw knuckleball pitcher. Not a day goes by that I don't wish I had more time to pick is brain for stories and knowledge. He knew and saw some great ones - Sisler, Feller, etc. - and I never had the appreciation for his service like I should have had.

Default Honor a vet

Most recently, met a vet who paints working guitars and adorns them with decals of your favorite team. I bought 3 different from him and jump starting his business was the best way I could thank him for his time. I can never do enough to thank him for his service in Nam but to pray and thank him every time I see him

My company spent the morning serving breakfast to Veterans at a local grocery store called Hy Vee. So great to spend the morning with these men and women. It’s amazing to think that, without their service, there’s no way we are talking about baseball cards on the Internet, in English.
