Guy,
All items listed for sale should be in the BST forums, not here on the main memorabilia page.

So your Joe Jackson broadside poster was determined to be fake. Yet you're still trying to sell it on ebay for $1,500??

it's a fantasy poster. Two auction houses said that the paper was old and most likely from the late 1950's early 60's. I'm selling it as is. It sold for $4,000 in 2005. The auctions houses said the value is around $1,000. Why shouldn't i sell it as what it is "a fantasy shoeless joe jackson broadside" this is america? Free markets do exist? I purchased it for $2,500 and will take a big loss.

Why aren't you trying to get your money back from the guy who scammed you out of it? Any auction house that tells you that is worth $1000 is out of their minds....who are these auction houses that told you this? And who appraised it at $20,000? Also your sales pitch on this while amusing isn't going to work on anyone. Nobody in their right mind will pay anywhere close to your asking price for an item that is fake. A real PSA 1 T206 Honus Wagner (depending on eye appeal) is worth $100,000+...a fake T206 Honus Wagner is worth a dollar on a good day.

From the Ebay listing:

"THE MOST AMAZING DEREK JETER COLLECTIBLE TO HAVE EVER COME TO AUCTION FOR SALE."

Really!? No offence to the Splinter or his museum but this isn't exactly a $25K item. Other than proported tailoring sessions he didn't wear the item nor even attend the event (by your description). This is no more interesting than a NY jersey that Jeter may have worn at a signing or a promotional event. Sorry, but maybe you will get a few bucks for it. Hope you do.

Maybe he can sell it to Topps and they can cut it up and insert it into cards?

Dan, you do know about this country's bullying laws, I hope. I think there is one that specifically relates to telling people to cut up their jackets.

You can filter out posters that you don't want to read.
