Perhaps a better topic for the B/S/T, but since it's already posted here, I will add the following...

I'm looking for a nice condition LA Rams Kail (standing version). Either the large or the mini... doesn't matter. Please email me if you have one for sale or trade... Thanks!

Hi Mark

Perhaps Leon can correct me if things have changed here, but I think we're far more relaxed on the memorabilia side about b/s/t in their own thread, as well as posting new acquisitions in their own thread.

The card side has to deal with these in group threads due to the volume of traffic and the number of threads individual postings would otherwise generate.

I certainly prefer individual threads for our pickups. Since most of the items we show are relatively unique (ie not another matty t206), they do generate comments from other members.

Max

I love the Kail statues as well and have been collecting them for quite awhile. I am looking for a small Vikings down lineman.

Max is correct. You guys on the memorabilia side have pretty much free reign on BST in this area. There is very little moderation needed on this side....except for the one, or two, "Larry" guys. I have found out who one is and am very surprised someone in that capacity would act that way but that's another story.
You guys are welcome to do Buy/Sell/Trades in this area and manage them amongst yourselves.....If it gets out of control Dan B can step in and handle it....

I do not have any extra KAIL statues. I have multiple Vikings statues because they are my team to collect but all others I get I sell.

Default Show a few

I've never seen these statues, but sure would like to. Does anyone have any scans to share? Also, a brief history would be appreciated.

Kail's daughter and granddaughter were at the Baltimore National last year maintaining a booth of Fred's sculptures--perhaps they'll be in Chicago this year.

Default Fred Kail

Fred Kail was in Baltimore too. He stopped by our booth and we had a pretty neat conversation with him. He told about how he got started with the statues with the Baltimore Colts, and how he also designed the Beetle Bailey and Peanuts nodders. Very nice guy. His granddaughter also stopped by to look at some of his statues we had for sale.
