Default November autograph pickups

If she wins (but I hope she doesn't), I'll have a nice piece. Especially if the Cubs pull it out as well.

Not nearly as ugly as it would be if it said "Trump."

That Cubs win should help the value some. Congrats to all of you long suffering Cubs fans. Hopefully the TX Rangers get the next one.

I wish they would both go away and we could get a do over.

BTW, Nice pick up Mike. Should get a nice resale price if she does win.

My post is a little less controversial than previous ones (and will be 'cherished' more than four years):

BTW - the actual pictures in those previous posts have vanished so I can only imagine 'if she wins' is in reference to some old nag in a horse race...right?

Apparently Photobucket is down today for "maintenance". Hopefully it's back up soon as I've been wanting to put up some stuff in the b/s/t but I use photobucket for my photo hosting.

Default Posted on memorabilia side by accident. Belongs here.

I am soooooo excited to add this. It's a early Christmas present from the wife. This has been on my wish list for a number of years, but haven't come across one that I liked or didn't have the money for at the time. The stars finally aligned and it is mine. This is the best one I have ever seen. Thanks to Mike for making it available.

Mark,

Glad it went to a good home. I was kinda bummed to sell it to pay for that Hillary jersey (especially after she got her rear kicked), that was a gamble I never should have taken, especially since I don't like her anyway. That jersey has to be one of the worst buys I've made in 5 years lol

Really excited that you like the Neil though and am happy to have been able to help one of my longer term hobby friends.

Enjoy,

Mike

Mike,
I am both sorry and not that you had to sell it, but I am happy that we were able to work a deal. I am thrilled to have gotten it. Hopefully, knowing that I am so happy helps to soften the blow a little.
It also came with a cert from some guy named Zarelli. Nice sig. Looks like a paid sit down one, not a rushed IP one.
Thanks again,
Mark

My first pick up I've ever posted on the autograph side. Saved for a long time and searched even longer but last week I finally won a Clemente autographed ball. By far the nicest piece in my humble collection.

I agree. You don't often see Clemente's signature on a ball be that uniform in clarity. Wonderful example.

#243 and #244-Dave Bancroft and Frank Frisch! Plus John McGraw and Hugh Jennings. Probably overpaid slightly, but how often to you see a nice (and real!) Hugh Jennings!

I've been trying to pick up a 1947 Dodgers team signed ball for some time. The Heritage auction had two of them one with 21 autographs (with all signed in then same color pen) and one with 29, but with some players signed in blue and some signed in black.

As Heritage often does, the auction ended Friday night. I am a Sabbath observer so I was not going to be able to bid on any items at the close, so I had to put in my bids early and wait until Sabbath ended to see what happened.

I was unsure which the market would view as more desirable. Not wanting to miss out on the auctions, I put in what I thought was a reasonable bid on both of them. Looked at my phone last night to find that I actually won both of them.

I'll probably wait until I get them in hand to decide which to keep and which to look at moving but happy to have filled a hole in my collection. It will go nicely next to the 1946 Montreal Royals signed baseball.

1951 Battle Creek Belles team signed on an official AAGPBL ball. Many thanks to a fellow net54 member. This takes a front row in my collection. The ball is in remarkably good shape.

Guess who the underbidder was??? Nice piece...I was halfway happy I didn't win cuz I didn't want to spend money lol, but mostly pissed cuz it is an amazing piece and would have also constituted a double pickup for me.
