Default Show Your 1934-36 Batter-Up Cards

While at the Philly Show today, I picked up an SGC 50 Billy Urbanski, which is pictured below. While realizing that the card is somewhat pedestrian, I still find myself interested in this issue, generally, and this particular example, specifically. After all, I did buy it.

Urbanski looks like he truly believes the bat in his hands is a war club. The die-cut nature of the product is ahead of its time, in my humble opinion. Most of all, I like the realism that these cards depict.

Let's see some more of 'em, gents.

Default From Leon's Heritage Auction

...After a night of heated bidding I emerged victorious with these elusive gems , slabbed conservatively by the most prestigious of Third Party Graders. You'll no doubt notice that the lot included the rare scarce difficult tough short-printed "Rabbit Moranville "..... My budget is in tatters though ; now if you'll excuse me , I must put these back in the safe-deposit box before the bank closes at five. ...... P.S. to answer your many questions in advance , :::with the vig , my total was nearly nine dollars.

....please don't tell me they look trimmed...

All these Batter Up cards are making me want to pick up a few.

For those who are active collectors was every player issued cards in each color?

Numbers 1-40 are available in 6 colors - black, brown, purple, blue, green and red. 41-80 are found in black, brown, purple and blue. The high numbers are all found in four tones that can be tough to tell apart (especially in scans) - brown, blue, black and green.
The red and green low numbers are seen much less frequently than the other colors.
