Received a couple of items in the mail today, a beautiful Red Dooin T205 deemed authentic, and an Otto Miller B18.

These just came in from Leon's auction. Bought the lot for the Magee, will be moving the Murphy along soon as I really shouldn't have spent what I did but couldn't be happier with the Magee in my Phillies Type Set

Thanks, Leon (and Erick, Greg, Chris, & Bryan)! I had been eyeballing a lot of cards in your collection for a long time, and I feel fortunate that you decided to send your cards to auction given how rare many of the items are, and that I was able to win a few of them. Thanks again!

Default And now for something completely different...

A non-paper related pickup from earlier today. 12 complete here (with gromets) and 4 partials on this cut piece. I can't even imagine the others that might have been on the original pre-cut 'blanket'. For those that care more about the checklisted pieces, here is the breakdown.

Complete:
Archer - green(2), red(2), blue
Dooin - light green, blue, purple
Meyers - red, blue
*Chase - red
*Wagner (Heine) - blue
Partials:
Archer - (yes, TWO more) blue, red
Coombs - green
Chase - blue

* I don't see these on the checklist I have access to, but it is a couple years old. Have these 2 been cataloged?

Two very nice pickups this week - and as excited as I am about the Iron Horse card, it certainly has to take a huge back seat to my new gem.... Lily came on Saturday - all are doing well!

A very, very hearty congrats re the Lily "pickup," Scott--wish I had had some of those, but have to settle for 4 cats whom I love, and they love me in turn. They are all rescue cats, and the youngest likes to lay on my chest and lick my neck and face, as well as plopping over to have his tummy rubbed whenever I appear. God makes really good cats.

On more of a card note, finally picked up a 1939 V351 Ted Williams in the recent PWCC auction, which is due to arrive next week.

May your collecting, and especially your "Lilys" bring immense pleasure to your life!

Larry

Hot damn Pete! That Jackson is beautiful, great addition.

Congrats Scott - numero dos arrives at my house on Thanksgiving and I really hope that numero uno (now 3.5 years old) is as good of a brother as your oldest seems to be.

Scott, great pickup -- looks like a keeper!

Pete, very nice, congrats!

Here are two pickups for me...Voskamp's Coffee...although I would only drink the tea, given the chance.

Cheers,
Steve

Pete - That's a great Jackson - nice to see one in such great shape.

Jason - That Moses Yellowhorse is one of the very few cards still on my want list...enjoy it... be sure to read the biography '60 feet 6 inches and other distances from home'

Scott - You Topped Everyone - and I won't even mention the Gehrig...QUITE A HAUL, SIR !!! Congratulations !!

Finally picked up a couple of the cards on my want list... Does anyone have a Minoso Hage's Dairy?

It's always nice to pick up a card you've never even seen before. Here's my W503 Bancroft.
