Default Vicarious living away from the national...Post pictures please!!!

I am very bummed to not be there and suspect many others are the same way. I thought we could start a thread here that people who are at National could post pics of cool stuff for those of us who have to miss out. Maybe a terrible idea (probably) but would help the rest of us who aren't there to feel better (or worse) about it...
So, post away if you have any pics, and maybe reference a table number if possible in case someone is looking for what you have photographed.

Count me among the bummed who won't be in Chicago this week. Am a little too beat up by the infirmities of old age to make the trip, walk the floor and party like it's 1929. Am sad that I won't see all my good hobby friends. Greetings and love to one and all from my rocking chair in Victoria. If any one is interested here is a link to a blog I threw together upon the occasion of the 2008 National in Chicago. http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=90475 The photo links therein are mostly dead but the pictures can be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/yadfxtm6 pw = crazy08 Lots of photos of folks you know, some passed away now, some in prison, all of us a decade younger.

Even though I've never been to a National, I'm still feeling an emptiness inside of me at this time. Baseball card show depression?? I do hope to make it to the Ohio show next year and finally meet many of the people I've been dealing with over the last 10 years. Hopefully any top secret T206 info will be shared with me after the show. Sad to miss the T206 collector's gathering Friday night. Everyone have a great, fun, and safe time.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know when the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be next year? This could create quite the dilemma.

My Late July through Early September of 2018 is looking like this...

End of July, 2018: Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (HUGE Thome fan; assuming he's a 1st ballot inductee)

Early August, 2018: National Sports Collector's Convention in Cleveland, just 45 minutes from my house. Last time I went (first time attending the National) I screwed up and only went for half a day.

Mid August, 2018: My Bachelor Party

Sept. 8th, 2018: My Wedding

That could be the greatest month and a half stretch of my life, but I need the induction ceremony to occur before or after the National.

Somehow I figured this thread would be loaded with pictures.

Not true. There were several booths using scantily clad women to draw collectors to their booths.

Those scum bags.

When I went to National last year, I just used my fiancee to help lower the prices during negotiations.

The nerve of some people... Psh...

Any more pictures or videos from the National floor? I couldn't make it, but I would love to see the high end cards that were available. The other video had more about the high end memorabilia than cards.

The 2018 induction ceremony is actually slated for July 29.

While the annual VFW show in Cooperstown was still very good this year, it wasn't the same without some of the usual attendees like Ted Z and Mark Macrae.

The Buchner Gold Coin cards put back together to form the advertising poster is pretty amazing. I know I've seen a thread about those cards before either here or on the nonsports side. Did the seller get all of them in a single lot or has he been piecing them together individually?

Here is a thread in which I posted a Lew Lipset sale catalogue from 20 years ago which had that same Buchner Gold Coin sheet on the cover, with the same cards missing. He was selling it for $2500. At the National it was being displayed by Terry Knouse of Tik n Tik; I'm not sure if he bought it from Lew back in 1997, or if it went through other owners since then.
