Last weekend I went to a White Sox game. They were giving prizes for correct trivia answers, but nobody in the stadium could answer the following... (I'm sure this group will do better - no looking it up... ):

Who was the first switch-hitter to reach 2000 hits?

I think it's Lou Brock but didn't he get 3000 hits?

I could only go back to 2500 hits, but of the group, George Davis would be the first 2000 hits

Jay

I've just reached Upper Lower Class. I am now officially a babe magnet for poor chicks.

There were two other early switch hitters who accumulated a fair amount of base knocks - Tommy Tucker and Duke Farrell. Farrell has a Chicago connection, although it was with the National League, and I don't think either of them ever got to 2000.

Since this was a White Sox game, George Davis makes the most sense.
