Being a West Coast guy I love seeing the old Zeenuts, I just wish they would have made a Ted Williams card. I have to admit that I am jealous of the Averill's as I have been trying for a while to pick up a 1926 and a 1928

I never saw the Chance before- was it only made in 1917 and how hard are they to come by?

Chance was issued in 1916 and 1917. I think the 1916 is much tougher, but I'm not sure how they rate overall compared to other Hall of Famers.

Hi Tim,

1917 Chance is a tough card to locate. Chance also has a 1916 Zeenut. If anyone has a 1916 Chance I would love to see a scan.

I too would love to see a Covaleski and a 1916 Chance. How many people are actively trying to complete Zeenut set(s)? I know there are several boardmembers working on 1911, what other sets are people working on?

I'm actively working on
1915
1919
1920
1923
1926
1932

Passively on
1913-14
1916-18
1921-22
1933 Sepia
1933-36

Andy

Andy, I am working on a few.

Actively working on...
1912
1913
1914

Passively working on...(meaning I pick em up when I get the chance)
1915
1918

Very passively working on...(meaning don't go too far out of my way to pick them up)
1911
1916
1917
1919-1923

I'll save the B/W ones for when I get further along on the 1911-23's

Working on the following sets

1911 - 13 to go
1912 - 64 to go have nice Bancroft from Leon 04 National - thanks Leon.
1931 - 6 to go
1932 - 12 to go
1933 - sepia 8 to go

Have Dom & Vince - no Joe
Have Hooper w/coupon

Pick up other nice or interesting looking ones from all years when I can. Got started with a box of about 200 1911 - 1920 (no 1918's) that I got at a second hand store in Venice FL about 1990 for $20.

Ok, someone started a Zeenut HOF thread and I haven't seen anyone post a comprehensive thread with all the HOF Zeenut cards, yet.

I could search the previous threads but this would be an opportune time for someone with the list handy to post it.

Andrew thanks for starting this thread! Adam, I wouldn't mind having that Nevers Zee...

By popular demand, here's my 1916 Chance. I'm sure someone out there must have a better condition one.

Here are a couple more I haven't seen posted yet. The first is football HOFer Paddy Driscoll. The second of course is Lazzeri.

Actually Southworth was outed last year by another board member. I was just reiterating the outing rather than being an outing initiator, an individual which is widely frowned upon by instigator haters...

People on this board have been asking for a scan of any of the three Crawfords for years without luck. Now all three show up. Very nice to finally see. That 1918 sure looks nice.

These scans of 15s of Heilmann and Coveleski are from the "Pacific Coast League Stars" Volume II by John E. Spalding. I have not seen an actual copy of either card.

Most of the Zeenut HOFers have been posted in this thread. Thanks again to everyone for posting scans. Only a few are missing, including the 16 Southworth. Does anyone have a scan of the Southworth?

Andrew
