I posted this in the July thread not realizing it was August. Posting here for post-erity:

I have no idea what the date of issue for this is but I absolutely could not pass up this Harry Coveleskie card when I saw it pop up on eBay. Such a cool piece for the "Giant Killer" and signed on the back too:

I'm trying to acquire signatures of all the players the appear as Giants in the T206 team set. This is definitely my best acquisition yet as I have read that it is quite tough.

Please let me know if you have any of the following available

Hooks Wiltse
Fred Merkle

Red Murray
Admiral Schlei
Cy Seymour
Art Devlin
Al Bridwell
Josh Devore
Buck Herzog
Moose McCormick
Bill O'Hara

I've always loved Wheat's handwriting. Great piece!

Seems like I've been picking up a lot of famous plays/games/events/tickets etc lately. This one was dirt cheap for 3 sigs and a nice photo. Will be adding a ticket stub eventually.

Happy to add Wesley Snipes to my "Major League" signed baseball. Still need Sheen though!

Jon,
Charlie Sheen is doing an upcoming signing at The Field of Dreams Museum.
Let me know if you need additional details. Finish your cool project off, brother!

Thanks so much Scott. I saw that and reached out to MAB (the promoter) but they unfortunately told me the only way to get Sheen is if I buy the VIP ticket and appear in Dubuque Iowa in person (they won't do mail order)! I've been to the field of dreams once before, and as cool as it was, I just don't think I'll be flying out there for Charlie!

All kidding aside, I really appreciate the heads up, and I'm hopeful MAB may change their mind in the next few weeks before the appearance.

Yeah, the problem with going out there is that Charlie sometimes tends to cancel at the last minute, or so I remember seeing. The upside is that if he does show up that there will be one hell of a party at the local hotel. LOL
Anyway, good luck on your project.

I was thrilled to win this Trout ball. This is Mike Trout's 410th career hit signed and authenticated by MLB:

Interesting legal document signed by several HOFers including Leo Durocher, Juan Marichal and Willie Mays. The Mays signatures (there are two) contain his full name, including middle name, from his playing days.

Just got back from Jim Thome's signing near Philly. He signed 4 items for me. An early Indians bat, a 200th HR dugout scorecard, a 500th HR ticket and his actual 484th HR baseball.

The bat was acquired many years ago from a guy who said he got it from Manny. The knob was blacked out with Manny's 24 written in silver over it. But the name says "Tim Tony". For years I didn't understand what it was. Then I noticed the barrell end was cupped and in the cup was written "25 CI13" in silver. 25 is Thome. Tim Tony= Jim Thome! Either misheard in the bat oreder or some sort of joke. I wanted to ask him but they kept us moving pretty fast. But the bat was definitely used by both a righty and a lefty. So I believe this bat was used by both 500 HR Club members.

He signed very nice on my ball and bat. But the flats seem a bit compacted you know?

I agree much nicer on ball than on the flats. The card I paid the extra $7 to get a JSA witness cert. Did you use the JSA service?

No, I just video him signing and use that. I refuse to pay someone to witness something I already witnessed, LOL.

Plus I had an issue with Jimmy years ago and I refuse to give him a nickel.

Not a real biggie but have been waiting for one of these to go cheaper than they have been. My daughter is a softball catcher and I love the lake in Cooperstown so this piece is something I have been hoping to get but always came up short. Finally got one.

The days. There is nothing to speak of in the LA area, the largest city on the west coast and not a show or signing to speak of. We always get the short end of the stick, from having everything tape delayed on TV to having crappy Nationals or none. Hey we got 2028 though!
