Most of the folks on this board are good guys, and I don't have a personal beef with anyone who has done it. However, I don't like the practice of posting other people's email the board without their permission. If there is a case of physical threat or someone admitting to make a counterfeit or whatever, I understand-- but, otherwise, I consider it akin to taping then playing for the public a phone call. Whether or not it is legal, I don't think it is the right thing to do.

No one has posted an email from me, and the practice has usually been during a good cause. I just hope to nip the practice in the bud.

Not just a case of being respectful, I think each of us does not fancy the idea of someone saving up our casual emails to post online for the public to read.

In other words, this isn't a preemtive strike as I have a variety of incriminating emails floating out there. Likely, the worst my emails would do is confirm my bad spelling.

we've had this sort of discussion before, and I haven't seen anything new posted that would indicate anyone is violating any of the parameters discussed previously.

Did you send an email to someone that you are afraid might be posted?

It's not an issue relating to any emails I've sent. I'm a Please and Thank You kind of guy, and I don't even think I gossip in my emails.
