Default Show your T212 Obak cards

I recently picked up my first T212 and think they are just as attractive as T206 cards. Let's show off examples from this PCL set.

If enough members participate, I shall start up a thread similar to the virtual T206 set, so that there is a resource for set builders.

Best regards,

Eric

here is a complete back set from the 1910 series...Most of these came from a very originally collected collection from Northern California, aka the Trucker Boy find...

I don't have many, but they are on my list to start a collection soon. Working on a couple other things first. The LaLonge was my first pre-war card I got.

a few more fronts from '09 and a small strip from '10...

btw, some of these '09s are from a very original collection and (to me) demonstrate how some were hand cut when disbursed.

I think T212 are much more aesthetically pleasing than T206's in almost every aspect. That being said I do like the T206 studio portraits (those based off of Horner images) and think they are the nicest of the T206 cards.

Thanks Leon.

And I never tire of seeing Obaks. Its a beautiful series (best eye appeal T set in my opinion). Most of mine are beaters, and many of my '09s are hand cuts. I enjoy them all.

Keep the scans coming guys...

After seeing the cards in this thread, I tend to agree with you. Originally. I picked up the Hank Perry because we share the same last name. Now I find myself drawn to these cards as much as T206.

Best regards,

Eric

Out of curiosity, would someone please post an image of the fantasy Obak card of Melchiore?

I seem to remember it has been shown on this board before...something about the way he runs...

I think you might be thinking of the D311 of Melchoir (top right), quite the running pose. And also to get back on the T212 track and here is a proof sheet shown before but still cool...

Neat oddity here - I've seen a lot of cards missing color passes, but never one missing it's black ink like this one. The card on the left is what the Pfyl should look like

Playing in black flannel uniforms (with top button buttoned) in the Sacramento summer heat must have been insane.
