Thanks to Mark for this nice 1917 E135 Sam Rice rookie card to upgrade the pathetic example (also shown below) that I've long had in my Sam Rice collection. The pathetic example is now available for purchase or trade (a bit of shameless promotion). My Boston Store Rice rookie is equally pathetic, and I'd also love to upgrade it (hint, hint!).

WOW .....Its been a while since I've posted anything. Job search and collecting modern Blue Jackets hockey cards have kept me from the forum quite a bit. Adding to my Columbus Solons OJ set has been slow, but Legendary helped me out this month with a great deal on a Wild Bill Weidner. I'm still searching hard for a Spud Johnson if anyone has one laying around.

CJ Matty arrived from Heritage today. This card technically gives me a complete set now of 1915 Cracker Jacks. However, I won't consider it totally complete until I upgrade my CJ Walter Johnson with BB sized holes in it..... I'm not condition picky at all but want a better copy of WAJO.

Capping off this month with a tough early Ruth I've wanted for a long time too...

Erick, congrats on the "technical" completion of your Cracker Jack set...easily one of the best sets!

Thanks Mike. Beautiful Cobb Luke. I started the Cracker Jacks in 2004 and figured it would take me 10 years or more so that was a pretty good estimate by me.

A couple N300s. Both Ganzel and Shindle were teammates on the 1887 Detroit squad. Brouthers was the only other teammate found in Mayo's 1895 issue but I'm in no hurry to add either of his variations (found with Baltimore & Louisville). I've had Ganzel for awhile but Shindle is new.

The Mayo's have such a bold look! I really them.

Great Triple Folders, Jesse. I use to dabble in them, and have always thought that they were a beautiful, yet under rated set.

Great image. I believe that the New Orleans athletic club has a mold of his right arm on display.

Supposedly my great-great grandfather was the boxing promoter for the Sullivan/Corbett title fight.

I've seen them here and there but never pulled the trigger well the other night I said what the hey. Why not right. I do agree with you that the set doesn't seem to get the respect it deserves. Maybe I'll be dabbling a lil myself this upcoming year.
