in fact, i am working on this one myself...I am not one for the transfer, but some folks will take it, BECAUSE-- its a iconic rookie card of Jackie and like my bro-Mattyc say: Its on everyones want list.
Now theres one that was in the B/S/T thread, it had the wet transfer, but not as bad. selling for around near 1k...graded 3 (2's are going for 1200, he mentioned) So i say, get this card graded, and work from there...it defintely could be worth 500+ pending on the right person at the right time.

1949 Leaf Spahn
David - Nice pick up.
Not sure on the value of your Robinson, but maybe this helps a little - I picked this Spahn card up a few years ago in a B & L Auction. I think I paid around $140-150 with the buyers premium and shipping. I just thought it was a cool card of an iconic player of that era. The front has Spahn's card back printed over it and the back is virtually perfect. For what it's worth, this might get more attention in the Postwar Card Forum (rather than the memorabilia forum). Others on that side might have more insight on these oddities. Last edited by BradH; 08-17-2014 at 05:10 PM. |

Yes I like it. Yes us pre war types like stuff like this. I think it's worth a bit north of 500 as long as it grades out ok

Some of us collect them. I have a Spahn with the red from the front over the back. That sort of ghost is more desirable than a back ghost. In terms of value it won't command as much of a premium as a common would simply because the card is so awesome already.

Jackie
Thank you for the help guys... My owning the card was short lived... I spent a bit on it andgot an offer that afforded me a small profit... I was told that the card graded out at a 3 by sgc...
