I'm bored at work today...nothing but cancels. I got this great card on ebay a few years ago for a pittance of it's current value...it was raw and is a d359(williams baking). Show you're best buys from ebay...cards purchased for less than $200 qualify!

I can't remember the exact price, but it was around $200.00. It is still one of my favorite pieces. It includes Cobb, Johnson, Wheat, and two Stengels.

last night I picked up a PSA graded 1940 Playball of my cousin, so this ranks right up there as one of my favorite ways to spend $9.99 !!!
I couldn't even get it slabbed for that price!

perhaps I'll have to start hoarding them.

I've actually got two of them. The first is a group of thirteen Boston Store cards that I paid $230 for, later flipped eight of them (which I wouldn't do again) and ended up paying $3.50 for these five cards. The Gandil has since graded SGC 50 - VGEX.











The second deal got me started on my Tattoo orbit set. I paid $130 for the following four cards.

most of my best pickups are post-war vintage.

I think my single best was a '59 Topps Dolan Nichols no option line PSA 6 for less than $3 (usually sells for $60 - $100).

My best card related eBay purchase was a Challenge the Yankees game, complete with the 50 player cards, for a Buy It Now price of $135 last year. The whole game, including the beautiful box lid, is in excellent condition and should have sold for at least $600-$700.

I once paid $90 for 22 "trimmed" Diamond Stars, including about 8 HOFers ... I had several graded, and none were trimmed. One even got an "8" ...

This one now becomes my favorite "purchase under $200". Got this on ebay over the weekend, for $118 + $5 shipping. Needless to say, I'm happy with the card, but darn near estatic with the price (considering it's the white cap Mathewson).
