Default Birmingham Auctions in Hershey PA

Some neat stuff in the last few auctions Scott has had. I have always had good dealings with him and Dave before him. I used to attend the live auction and take the wife up the night before and go to the local brewery there for dinner. Decent food! Anywho wanted to say thanks to Scott for offering neat items and always making my experience pleasant.

Thanks Dan, coming from you that means a lot!

EDIT: Though maybe the thread would attract more attention if you were complaining about me!

See how much less mileage this gets than a complaint thread???

Hold my beer!

I have consigned with Mr Russell, he described one of the cards I sent him as having been trimmed, recolored, and in horrible condition. Said the only good thing was it was a real card. It was a T210 in a SGC Authentic slab. What kind of auctioneer describes a clients card like that? I will tell you what kind, a honest one that earned my respect. I have consigned to him after that and would not hesitate to do it again. I highly recommend giving Mr Russell a chance if you are going to use a AH to sell. Also check out his auctions for stuff you are looking for, great experience buying from him also.

If I was really on a mission I would mention in a thread with a post by some guy named RedsFan1941 that in our upcoming Oddballs Odds & Ends Auction we have a partial 1940 Reds Team Issue set. But I didn't do that, now did I...

Default Scott Russell

I can offer some reliable feedback as the consignor of a $2400-$2800 card in Birmingham's recent 2nd annual pre-war auction.
certainly there was initially, some level of skepticism.
scott is obviously not the largest nor the flashiest option in the industry.
my concerns were, however, mitigated after a few conversations with scott.
I decided to enlist Birmingham for the auction of my items with the hopes despite some current negative sentiments that the results would be positive for all concerned, AND our hobby, as well.
altho I have still not met him in person, I found scott's passion for the hobby, as well as his honesty, integrity, professionalism & demeanor, to be both extremely conscientious and unquestionably genuine.
and, yes, I was not only pleased with his results, but truly impressed with the entire process & transaction, from beginning to end.
thank you, Scott Russell.
I look forward to future participation

OK, gonna take my lumps here. I didn't get the auction finished before the philly show (as evidenced by the missing images) I notified the buyers and consignors by email missing lots will be up by end of day Monday, missing images hopefully by tonight.

Thanks for checking Tim, and sorry we are behind. I will make them the next lot listed.

Scott is a class act in the industry. I won a few lots in this past non sport auction. I asked if he would bring the cards to the Philly show for me to pick up, he gladly obliged, the cards were brought to the show which was great, saved shipping on both ends. If you haven’t bid in his auctions you should def check them out next time.

I completely agree with you, even after meeting Scott in person several times! (Hi Scott)

Scott is the man.... I've met him in person several times, and he has been trustworthy and straightforward in all the dealings we've had.
