Always loved that mint green background on the Walsh Portrait. And those two Old Judges have just about the clearest and most crisp images I've seen.

Ty Cobb is looking a lot like Satan in that H.M. Taylor PC... love it!

Great looking cards, everyone!

Have added to my 1911 T205 Brooklyn team set, now at 8/13 with #9 arriving tomorrow, but even more excited about the custom display that just arrived today. My bud David at Cigar Box Cards puts these together and always blows me away with his work.

Default December-ish pickups

These have been trickling in over the past week, but the Mathewson is a bona fide December baby.
Picked up this morning from FedEx and very pleased!

Will do! Now those with keen eyes may recognize I'm missing the most expensive guys other than Wheat so it could be a while.

1946-47 Fotos Postcard of the Almendares Baseball Club, from Cuba. Featuring Buck O'Neil. While the Hall of Fame has already named the Ambassadorial Award for him, I still have hope that he will be formally inducted at some point - perhaps next year. Thanks to Ryan Christoff for the auction, and the very generous free shipping gesture!! Very pleased to finally get a "period" O'Neil.

Stoked on this Rapps. Others are sweet as well, but this green type 2 goes with the orange one I already have awesome. Seriously, two different type 2 E100s of the same player, different colors? Never thought I could do that.

Default REA Delivery Day

So excited when I got the text that my REA package was out for delivery. Met the mail lady at the box. So glad to add this to my Des Moines collectionn. BTW when I showed it to my 12 year old son he said that the guy in the middle looks like Putin. Made me laugh out loud.

Already posted in the REA and Cobb threads but this beauty arrived on Thursday and I was blown away at how nice this card actually is in person. The pictures really don't do it justice.

I have always wanted a great looking CJ Cobb without breaking the bank and this card has more than surpassed what I ever expected to find.

This card has four sharp corners, near perfect centering and bright bold beautiful colors and fits like a glove in the holder. The card was taken from a scrap book and has just a small minor area where the print and card back was lightened when removed from the book but doesn't show even a trace of paper loss.

I was actually surprised it received an altered label because it's an extremely small area on the back where just six letters appear to have been lightly traced over leaving a slightly green hue. I thought this could have possibly even garnered a numerical grade with a MK qualifier.

With the amount of card doctoring that has taken place in the hobby, i would much rather have a beautiful example like this rather than a questionable card sitting in a high grade holder at a hell of a lot higher price.

No but for what I had to buy it back at I could have sent it there!!

One more semester of her (my daughter) Masters degree and then no more check writing except for her big wedding next year. I might have to sell my new collection for it!!....
