Default WTB- T206 Broad Leaf 460

I had a BL 460 a few years back, and have since sold it. I'm considering picking up a few rare backs again, if anyone has one for sale (preferably a low-mid grade common), please send me a PM. thanks!

Hey Michael
Good to see ya back. Yes, the BL460s are around but folks aren't selling them.....I had to pay an arm and a leg for mine a few years ago....I would expect a decent one to be in the 2.5k-3.5k area.....maybe even a bit more with Wonka having deep pockets for what he collects nowadays .....

hi, thanks Leon, it's always nice visiting N54...

i look back at the T206 rare backs & miscuts/color variations i used to have, they would sell for a fortune today. i sold all that stuff a few years back to get into Memorabilia (which i love), but i still have the itch to get back into T206, that set will always be my first passion. maybe you could PM me some names of people that you know have some BL 460's, and i can pursue it privately?

thanks!

Big Mike!

Long time no see, we need another night in NYC soon huh?

Leon that's Mr. Deep Pockets Wonka to you!

I do think Leon is close a nice BL460 say PSA 2 or SGC30 could be around 3.5k-4k perhaps more as most folks just dont want get rid of them.

I dont think you will find too many for 2.5k unless it's beat for the grade etc. short of the Goodwin example in 2010 and the raw one in B&L Leon did that card ever grade anyting other than raw curious?

However I will take all the nice BL460 at 2.5k please contact me right away.

If you start get into say PSA 4 range most likely you will be between 7.5k-10+k. Anything 5 and above would be 12k+ and up IMO.

There are around 40+ examples in the hobby I'm aware of I'm sure there's another 10+ or so in old timers collections we just haven't seen come to market etc.

Out of the 40 or so the breakdown is around here...

EX-EXMT (6) cards only two are commons rest are big $$ HOF players and the EXMT common card is trimmed but in a PSA holder.

VGEX (2) cards

G-VG (12) or so cards, 2 or so of these are big $$ HOF players.

The rest of the cards are PR to trimmed or missing paper.

Hope this helps, Mike I know where a few are we can chat soon I'll try to help you find one if I can.

Cheers,

John

hey john! thanks for your insight, prices have certainly risen over the last few years...i got a trimmed (but clean) example from the BST several years back for only $1100. if i remember correctly, i sold it (along with a ton of other rare backs) in Barry's last auction. that's the card i still wish i had...oh well.

we need to catch up asap, when are you in nyc again?

Default ouch

a few years ago I sold an SGC 60 for $2,200, a bit later the buyer contacted me and wanted to know if I would buy it back. As I had kept a nicer raw card(of the 4 BL 460 I owned), I declined.

Big mistake apparently and to add insult to injury the raw card graded 50!, it was as nice or nicer than the 60.
