During my sophomore year in high school (1990) my Dad and I rebuilt a 1973 Ford Mustang. A lot of work went into that car. It was sold before I headed off for college. I don't think a day passes where I don't think about that car. I miss it dearly. Someday, I'll need to buy a replacement.

Here are some before and after pics......ahh, the memories...

Mark,

As another person who's gotten to restore a car with his father, I can truly appreciate your sentiment and I hope the car finds its way back someday! I began working on cars with my father as father-son bonding in junior high. While in college, we started on the Triumph 1800 I posted above. 5 years later, she turned out perfect. When I graduated law school this past May, the car was a gift to me. Although I live in Manhattan and don't keep a single vehicle here in the city with me, I will always own that car - just to many memories and late nights.

I drove a 1965 Mustang from 1971 thru 1996. A great car. I'll see if I can find a photo.

I restored 3 bug eyed Sprites
2 MGA's - 3 MGB's and a 1500 Spitfire
I had several Triumph TR 250-IRS's and TR-6's then moved on to GTO's and a 66 Charger fast back w/4 bucket seats
I had a 1970 Datsun 2000 with 24k miles on it and one of these~

Nissan Patrol Wagons

Then I got married and had to buy a car!

My day job is flying around in military planes - that's my melon in the front seat of the top T-38. Not a car, but it goes supersonic!
