New Mission started.....SOVEREIGN-only T206 set

Now, that I have proved to myself that the "Monster" can, to a certain degree, be "tamed"
by putting together a 518 card PIEDMONT-only set, I'm embarking on an all-SOVEREIGN set.

At most there could be a possible 469 different cards to attain a complete set of Sovereigns.
This certainly is somewhat easier than the Piedmont set......therefore, I am going to enhance
this challenge by taking Scot Reader's suggestion and acquire the difficult SOV 460 cards for
the six "Super Prints" in the T206 set (shown here).....

If anyone on this Forum has any of these cards with SOV 460 backs....and are willing to sell
or trade them....please contact me.....ccooney@princeton.edu

Hi Ted,
I will keep an eye out on eBay for you. These six subjects are theoretically possible with 27 different backs but they do appear with Sov 460 from time to time. I think I have seen most, if not all, of these six with Sov 460 once or twice on eBay since '03.

I really appreciate your tips on Chance and Matty. I am 33% on the way to acquiring
these tough SOV 460 guys.

And, from the 460-only Series, I suspect Kleinow (Boston) and Smith (Bos/Chi) do not
exist with SOV 460 backs.
Therefore, I only need to acquire 52 cards = 46 - (460 only) and the 6 Superprints.

I now have 40 + 2 = 42 (Sov 460 cards)......only 10 to go from this series. That's a
pretty good start.

Thanks again....and can you confirm my thoughts on Kleinow and Smith ?

Ted,
Very good point you raise about Kleinow and Smith. I don't recall having ever seen Kleinow (Boston) or Smith (C&B) with Sovereign 460. As you know, the team captions of these subjects reflect trades that happened just before the 460-series print run. It's quite possible they never made it to print with Soverign 460. I'd be interested to know if there are any other 460-only subjects you are unable to find with Sov 460 after exhaustive search.

OK, you T206 dudes.....I now need the two Chase cards, Evers, and Cobb with SOV 460 backs.
I do not worry over "raw" cards, in fact I prefer them, so whatever form you may possibly have
these four in.....I am very interested.

Thanks to Scot's referral I have already acquired the tough Chance and Matty cards.
