payout odds are 1 to 35*

*actual odds of your ball hitting your number is 1/36 or 1/37 when you factor in the greenies (0, 00).

house always has the advantage.

Right.....house is going to have the edge. $5 bet on a single # wins $175. actual odds are a little higher. Just like the true odds of hitting a 3 team parlay is 8-1. Casinos pay 5 or 6 to 1.

Still much better than finding a real 51 Mantle, or any high end card, from an ebay listing saying "this one looks real, doesn't say reprint, but I am selling as a reprint per ebay rules." I would conservatively place the odds on that working out at 5,000 to 1.

At least he has it listed as a reprint in the title.

Reprints don't screw people. People screw people.

Desiderata

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.

Not is you are like me and wanted the reprint because you will never own a real one and wanted one in the same condition as the rest of your beater cards.
