Default Fun in the Weimar Republic

I thought this was cool. I'm usually wary of buying things I'm unfamiliar with, but I've bought from the seller before and, hell, it was only 2 bucks. The hitter reminds me of Rerun from What's Happening. Mostly, I just think having a 30's era photographic card of a Japanese team playing ball in Berlin is a damn fine thing to have. Of course, joke's on me if it ain't real.

Hey Chad,

I picked up a couple of these cards myself about a year or two ago. They aren't seldomly seen, but the price is always right due to a lack of interest. I was told the set dates to 1933, which incidentally, was beyond the Weimar Republic's tenure.

I realized that about Weimar after I posted, but I figured I'd let it ride as I didn't want to change the heading to something that might be considered inflammatory. Thanks for the info about the card. I'm relieved it's authentic. It'll look pretty snazzy next to my Venezuelan card from the 30's. Now, if I can just find a Norwegian issue.

This a card from the Olyimpic set issued in 1936

Let's see what kind of GAA todays goalies would have with gear like that. Even with the new rules making gear smaller, it's still huge compared to what he is wearing.

I've just reached Upper Lower Class. I am now officially a babe magnet for poor chicks.
