Default Help me pick my next card

In between a 1914 Cracker Jack Ty Cobb PSA 1 (or 2) or a E90-1 Joe Jackson PSA 1. Any opinions? I am having trouble deciding.

Thanks guys!

Taylor

Neither. The Jackson card is ugly and if you want a nice Cobb buy a higher grade M101-4 with the same money.

Taylor,

The Cracker Jack Ty Cobb is one of Ty's best-looking cards, period. There's no mistaking the image----it's Ty Cobb all right. Furthermore, he's lookin' right atcha---priceless.

With the E90-1 Joe Jackson, sad to say, you really cannot tell if it's Joe, or somebody that maybe, kinda, sorta looks like Mr. Jackson. Off hand, I don't know if this one is his rookie card, since I'm not collecting pre-war, nor do I have "Gotta have it rookie-itis", but again, but if you have this collector focus craze in your system, you better go with Joe Jackson.

Think it through, and get the one that will make you most happy and content.

Appreciate all the comments so far. I am leaning Cobb. Already have the T3, D304 and a T206 bat off in the collection. No JJ's in the collection yet, so that's why there is interest in the E90-1.

I don't know why anyone would really chase that Jackson card. It's horrible.

I'm partial to the Jackson just because I really like the pose. It makes me giggle. However, I'm not a Cracker Jack guy in any respect (*gasp* ), but I feel like both are an equal investment opportunity. Go with your gut and whichever one you would rather display.

Have you ruled out a CJ Jackson? It's a much better image of Joe, and you already have the other Cobbs.

Buy the Cobb (screaming wildly). To me it is THE Cobb to have, though I'm sure I'm in the minority. I think it's the best card in the cj set. Also in the minority.

My choice would be Cobb as well. Great pose and grip on the bat.

I know, and the board has discussed it often, that the C J Jackson has taken off but if possible that`s the way I`d lean. It wasn`t one of the stated options but that J J card is among the top 5 all timers I M O. Best of luck and great "problem" to wrestle with my friend.

Agreed. The real question here is should you get something awesome or awesomer! Win win either way but the esthetics of the CJs are vastly superior in my opinion.

Any Nick Foles RC.

But seriously, maybe you can find a nice Jackson graded A? May be trimmed, but the eye appeal should be there.

If you're considering Jackson, I'd go for the 1916 m101-4 or 1917 e135 or Boston Store.

You think the e135 or boston store can be had for ~$10k?

Never a big fan of that Jackson so it's Cobb for my vote.

imo, the e90-1 Jax is just not a visually appealing card. Go Cobb. Or go off the board and get a nice T206, maybe Matty or Johnson.

No doubt a CrackerJack.
I love my 1915 CJ Joe Jackson so much that it has me looking into a CJ Cobb and Wagner and my eyes drooled over that Matthewson that sold recently.
Go with the CJ Cobb!!!!
