Default T206's vs T207's

Posted By: Noel

I've noticed that a lot of T207's (although they seem to be much scarcer) bring in substantially less than many of their T206 counterparts. I know the T206's just seem to have a life of their own but there does seem to be a very big disparity. Any thoughts?

Default T206's vs T207's

Simply, even though the supply of T206 cards is so much more than T207 cards, the demand for T206 cards is so much higher than the demand for T207 cards.

Why? One man's opinion is that T207 cards are black and white and ugly and do not look like the players they represent. Also, the fact that T206 cards are so prolific is part of the appeal -- you can continue to assemble and upgrade the set on a day-to-day basis on ebay.

Default T206's vs T207's

It is true that t206s are colorful and attractive by some criteria. And it is also true, imho, that viewed individually, t207s are far less attractive. But the strength of the t207 issue is appasrent when viewed with a bunch of them grouped together (as would be on an uncut strip). Grouped in close proximity to each other, t207s are spectacular!
