Default w511 Ruth Question....

Won this card in last night's Mile High Auction. I've been wanting a w511 Ruth for a while and I'm happy with the price too. It's also nice to get one with a halfway decent cut as you don't see that too often from this issue.

Question is, the blue toned example that was also up for auction went for a couple hundred more than this one. Is it just that the colored variations have a bit of a premium to them?

Also, kind of a general question here but there's 3 color variations total and then a 4th unnumbered black and white variation, correct?

Hey Brian
Here are a few colored ones with some other strip cards. I have followed them a little bit and think they are hit and miss on pricing. I would like to know where they originated from and I think the pose is used in several places. If I think of them I will post about it. I guess colors would be a bit more desirable, overall.

There are multiple variations and some are likely not yet checklisted. What I know of so far for this issue:

Card Stock: white or red
Ink: Black, blue, purple [maroon; looks purple to me]
Numbering: none, 1, 52, 71

How these intersect I cannot say for sure. It is a very frustrating issue.
